Afridi said Pakistan needs to be more competitive in the approaching Asia Cup

Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has said his group will not be looking for vengeance when they experience Indian in the fifth go with of the Asia Cup at Mirpur on Goal 18. This will be once the two groups will face-off since Indian overcome Pakistan in this year's Community Cup semi-final.

I don't think we should look at the go with against Indian as a vengeance one. We need to cure every go with with same significance and relevance," Afridi said.

Afridi had results of 0-45 from 10 overs and obtained a 17-ball 19 in Pakistan's 29-run reduction to Indian in the Community Cup semi-final at Mohali.

Talking about what his group needs to do in the Asia Cup, Afridi said Pakistan needs to be more competitive and the batsmen have to be more constant and assistance the bowlers.

"I think we need to be more competitive in the Asia Cup and our batsmen have to perform challenging at the bowlers," he said.

He also sensed their protecting strategy was one of the factors for Pakistan dropping the one-day and Twenty20 sequence to Britain last 30 days. "We must realize that our bowlers can't win us suits all time. It's about time for the batsman to also ranking operates intensely. We missing to Britain as I believed we were a bit protecting," Afridi said.
